As someone with afro-type hair, I’ve always struggled to find the right hair care routine. Traditional hair care products never seemed to work for me, and I found myself constantly searching for a better way to achieve stronger, healthier hair. That’s when I started to learn about holistic hair care.

At first, I was hesitant to try holistic hair care. I didn’t fully understand the benefits, and I wasn’t sure how to incorporate it into my hair care routine. However, as I started to research and experiment, I began to see just how powerful holistic hair care can be.

Holistic hair care takes a natural, whole-body approach to hair health, using natural remedies and techniques to promote healthy hair growth and repair damage. Unlike traditional hair care products that often rely on harsh chemicals and synthetic ingredients, holistic hair care is all about using natural, organic, and sustainable ingredients that nourish and strengthen the hair from the inside out.

However, I was determined to see it through, and I gradually cut off the relaxed hair until I was fully natural in 2010.

By adopting these holistic hair care practices, I am confident that I will achieve my longer and healthier hair goal. I believe that my overall health and well-being are connected to the health of my hair, and I am committed to taking care of both to achieve my desired results

In addition to these basics, there are a few natural remedies and practices that can help promote healthy hair. Here are a few that I have found particularly helpful:

Mix equal parts water and apple cider vinegar and use it as a final rinse after shampooing. It helps to balance the pH of your hair and scalp and can make your hair feel softer and look shinier.

Coconut Oil Treatment: Apply coconut oil to your hair and scalp, and leave it on for a few hours or overnight. It helps to moisturize and strengthen your hair, and can also help with dandruff and dry scalp.

Scalp Massage: Massaging your scalp can help to increase blood flow and stimulate hair growth. Use your fingertips to gently massage your scalp for a few minutes every day.
