Welcome to my raw vegan lifestyle! This is my first week of going raw vegan with plans of going a full 30 days and just maybe beyond. After months of research, I finally decided to give it a go. It’s been seven days since the start of my journey and so far, the transition has been surprisingly smooth. I was expecting much more difficult but the raw vegan diet is surprisingly easy to follow. 

The main challenge has been learning how to make creative, healthy meals with only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, and legumes. The key is learning all about what ingredients you can use, as well as experimenting with different recipes and flavors. Thankfully there are plenty of resources available that provide helpful tips for beginners like me! 

Right now I’m feeling energized and excited about continuing this lifestyle for longer periods of time — who knows where it will take me?

If you’re looking for an easy way to transition into a healthier lifestyle, consider going raw vegan. Eating a 7-day raw vegan diet can provide many health benefits and reset your body internally. I tried my first week of it recently, and I’m here to discuss the pros of this incredible lifestyle. 

First off, going raw vegan gives you endless energy! After only seven days of eating all raw foods such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, I felt energized like never before. My regular day-to-day fatigue was gone and replaced with a natural motivation that encouraged me to work out more often—something that had been difficult for me before starting this diet. Secondly, transitioning to a raw vegan diet also improved my digestion dramatically! Within just one week I noticed a reduction in gut inflammation and bloating which gave me more confidence throughout the day.

Eating raw vegan will help you to detoxify your body and feel better. It will also help you to get back on track to a healthy lifestyle.

Challenges of Going Raw Vegan

My first week as a raw vegan was quite an adventure! After reading and learning about the raw vegan diet, I finally took the plunge and set myself up for success. I had heard all sorts of stories about how difficult it can be to go raw vegan, so I expected some challenges along the way.

Sure enough, there were a few bumps in the road. From figuring out which ingredients to buy at the grocery store to managing meals when eating out with friends and family, my new plant-based lifestyle definitely came with its own unique set of obstacles. Fortunately, with careful meal planning, research, and an open mind, I was able to successfully complete my first 7-days of a raw vegan diet!

Meal prepping can be an intimidating task, but with a few strategies, it doesn’t have to be! Starting my first week as a raw vegan I made sure that I had the right meal prep strategies in place set me up for success to avoid being overwhelmed. 

During my 7-day raw vegan diet, I made sure to have a supply of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and beans. Furthermore, meal prepping ahead of time ensures that I always have delicious meals on hand when hunger strikes. Strategies like setting aside time each week to shop for ingredients and preparing food ahead of time make meal prepping easy and fun. 

One strategy I love is batch prepping – this means I prepare several servings at once so that I’m set for the whole week! This eliminates all the fuss of having to prepare something each day.

Shopping for food should not be overwhelming when you are just starting a raw vegan diet. It’s should not be more intimidating when your first week is completely raw! Focusing on your first  7-day as a raw vegan is a great way to jumpstart your journey to better health and nutrition. 

Here are some tips to help make your transition into the world of raw veganism smoother and easier! 

  • First, it’s essential to plan out your meals in advance so that you know what items you need from the grocery store. 
  • Make sure to check out online recipes for inspiration and guidance on how to prepare delicious, nutritious meals without cooking. 
  • When shopping, look for fresh produce like fruits and vegetables, nuts, seeds, sprouts, grains such as quinoa or millet, legumes such as lentils or chickpeas, seaweed products such as nori sheets, and sea vegetables like kelp noodles.
  • Check out the frozen aisle since frozen fruits and vegetables can be a convenient option for those who don’t have access to fresh produce.
  • Try new foods by experimenting with new types of fruits and vegetables to keep your meals interesting.
  • Don’t be afraid to shop online since many online stores sell raw vegan ingredients and products that may not be available in your local grocery store.
  • Consider joining a local CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) or farmers market, you will have a variety of fresh and in-season produce.

My Reflection

This past week, I decided to try something new and commit to a 7-day raw vegan diet. As someone who has never done anything like this before, it was an intimidating prospect but I was determined to see it through. 

My first week of eating raw vegan has been quite the learning experience! I’ve had my fair share of ups and downs – from the unexpected cravings for cooked food to discovering all sorts of new recipes and flavors. Despite some challenges along the way, I’m proud of myself for making it through my first week on this diet. 

I’m looking forward to seeing how this journey continues as I explore more recipes, experiment with ingredients, and learn about healthier alternatives for my meals. Who knows what other surprises await me in the coming weeks?

My first week as a raw vegan

It’s been a wild ride but I made it through my first week as a raw vegan. It was by no means easy and there were times when I wanted to give up, but in the end, it paid off.

I think the most important thing that I learned over this past week is that what you put into your body has a direct effect on how you feel. Eating healthy and nutritious foods gave me energy throughout the day and improved my mood significantly. In addition, I felt better about myself knowing that I was eating more ethically conscious food choices. 

Overall, my experience with a 7-day raw vegan diet has been positive and inspiring. It’s opened up new possibilities for my meals and pushed me to make healthier choices overall.
